For young families, busy professionals and business owners.
Insurance advice, aligned to your life.
You’re building something unique. We’ll help you protect it.
Meet James.
A girl dad, husband, and golf-and-fitness enthusiast, with a decade of experience marketing in the insurance and investments industry.
The thing I kept seeing: smart people who had their life in order but just hadn’t sorted their insurance. Usually because they didn’t know where to start, or who to trust.
I set up Flush to change that. Clear insurance conversations, cover aligned to your life, and someone in your corner.
Most people I work with are at a similar stage – and that’s typically when this stuff matters most. I’m sorting it too.
Not sure where to start? You’re at the right place, let’s see if we can help.

Where we can help
Personal insurance helps protect the life you and your family are building. Here’s a quick look at what we can help with.
Life Insurance
If the worst were to happen, a lump sum payout can protect your family with breathing room to pay down debt, replace lost income, and keep things stable. It’s one many people think of first – and for good reason.
Trauma Cover
A serious diagnosis often impacts more than your health. With things like cancer, a heart attack, or a stroke, trauma cover can pay a lump sum at diagnosis, supporting the household, so you can focus on recovery.
Income Protection
If you couldn’t work, how long would your savings last? Income protection can pay a regular monthly benefit if illness or injury keeps you off work – supporting you to keep on top of the bills while you focus on getting better.
Health Insurance
Private health cover is designed to give you faster and broader access to specialists and treatment when you need it, rather than waiting in the public system – helping you get better sooner.
TPD Insurance
If a permanent disability meant you could never work again, Total & Permanent Disability cover (TPD) provides a lump sum to help clear debts, modify your home if needed, and support your family’s financial future.
Business Insurance
Business insurance helps protect your business, income, and cashflow if illness or injury takes you or a key person out of action. Shareholder protection helps make sure ownership can transfer smoothly if something happens to a co-owner.
Group Cover & Benefits
Group insurance benefits are employer-sponsored insurance policies that provide coverage to a collective workforce. They are designed to support staff wellbeing, retention and protection with a tailored employee insurance package.

Questions we get a lot
Insurance can feel a bit confusing, and I get it. Every chat with us is designed to give you a little more confidence in the protection you have. Here are some FAQ’s we receive.
The question we get the most! And while the answer varies based on many factors including your age, health, smoking status and more, we generally find people surprised at just how affordable life insurance can be.
It depends on your debts, income, dependants, priorities and what you’re trying to protect. We work through these together to land on the products and levels of cover that fit your needs and finances.
When working with us, you will not pay any fees, expenses or any other amount for the advice we give you in respect of insurance products. We are paid a commission by the insurer if cover is arranged – and will explain how that works before anything moves forward.
Often yes, though the insurer may add an exclusion, charge a higher premium or, in some cases, decline cover. You need to disclose your medical history honestly, as non-disclosure can lead to a declined claim.
Yes, and that’s the whole point of picking an adviser you plan to work with for the long haul. As your age and stage changes, your insurances should be reviewed regularly to match.
ACC covers accidents, but generally not illness like cancer, heart disease or stroke, and that’s where people often get caught out. Personal cover aims to fill the gaps, and can top up what ACC covers if you’re injured.
The process
Most people find it only takes a couple conversations before we apply for cover. Here’s a summary of the key steps.
Getting to know you
The first meeting is about understanding your situation – your family, income, debts, cover in place, and what would happen if something went wrong. It’s the foundation for everything that follows. It takes about 30 minutes, over video or in person in Auckland.
Research & analysis
After our first meeting, we analyse your situation, and build a recommendation based on your priorities and needs. The types of cover, level of cover and the cost. This is where our expertise comes in, and it’s what we prepare for our second conversation.
Recommendation & application
In the second conversation, we walk you through the recommendation. You can ask anything, we make adjustments as needed and nothing proceeds until you’re comfortable. Once it all makes sense, we start the application.
Here for the long haul
Once your cover is in place, we’re in your corner and your first port of call. From answering policy questions, reviewing and adjusting what you have, through to supporting you with a claim, we’re here for the long haul. That’s what having your own adviser is all about.
